On July 21st, in the midsummer season, two national first-class protected animals, the Oriental White Stork, played and foraged in the Chihu wetland in Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province.

According to Jiujiang City Wildlife Protection Experts, the Oriental White Stork is a large wading bird with a graceful body. It is a national first-class protected animal. It usually lives in wetland lakes in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in autumn and winter.

This summer, they were observed in the Ruichang Chihu Wetland, which is the first time in the entire Jiujiang area.

Rare birds have become resident birds to inhabit here, which fully shows that the ecological environment of Jiujiang continues to improve and the water quality of Chihu Lake is excellent.
