With a mustache, round-frame glasses, an acoustic guitar, and a red baseball cap, many students at the Central University for Nationalities have seen such an "old beauty" playing and singing songs in a corner of the campus.

He is Mark Liwen.

Mark Levin, 72, has been in China for 16 years. Before that, he was a sociologist with a doctoral degree and worked as a full-time volunteer in a social welfare organization in the United States for nearly 30 years.

When I came to China, I realized that it was different from what I had previously understood.

In order to let more people know the real China, Mark Liwen also wrote a book-"Stories from My Chinese Journey" (Stories from My Chinese Journey), telling about China in his eyes.

In 2016, after ten years, Mark Levin returned to Huai'an again.

The tall buildings rising from the ground, the wide streets, and the newly built stadium made him not recognize that this was actually the place where he had lived.

In his view, the changes in Huai'an are not special. Under the leadership of the Communist Party, all parts of China are developing rapidly.

2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, for which Mark Liwen also composed a new song to sing his feelings.
