  According to data from the Public Opinion Monitoring Center of Jiangsu Consumer Network, from January 2021 to the present, a total of 5,935 pieces of public opinion information related to network pop-ups in Jiangsu Province, of which 3737 pieces of negative public opinion information, are mainly caused by the Trojan horse virus built into the network pop-up window. The key is closed, and its content is suspected of fraud, vulgarity, etc.

On July 18, the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Committee issued the "PC Application Software Network Pop-up Investigation Report", calling on relevant platforms to cherish reputation, control pop-ups, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

  The survey received a total of 14,727 valid questionnaires online; a total of 30 applications were selected in the offline experience survey.

10 models such as 2345 Picture King, Thunder, Bird Wallpaper, Kuwo Music, Love Clip, ACDsee, Tencent Video, Master Lu, Iqiyi Video, QQ Browser, etc. have the problem that the pop-up period cannot be set or the pop-up will not pop up permanently.

  The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee stated that the next step will be to conduct intensive interviews with enterprises that belong to the application software involved in response to the problems found in the investigation.
