Big penalties are seen by Yasmine Abdel Aziz's doctor if negligence is proven

A member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate Council, Ibrahim Al-Zayat, revealed the fate of the doctor who caused the deterioration of the condition of the artist, Yasmine Abdel Aziz.

He said, "In the beginning, a distinction must be made between medical negligence and the error that may occur, and the latter means that the doctor worked in his specialty and holds scientific certificates that qualify him to perform the surgical operation or treat the disease, and that it is possible that some complications of this pathological condition may occur during treatment."

He pointed out that "the use of the surgical endoscope has international guidelines that must be followed, and if a person violates these guidelines, it falls within the framework of medical negligence, and these instructions specify the places where this endoscope is used," stressing that the penalty for medical negligence is determined according to the error and the offense.

Al-Zayat added, during a phone call to the “Hadrat Al-Muwatin” program, that “in the event that it is proven that what happened with the artist Yasmine Abdel Aziz is a medical error, there will be heavy penalties, both through the law in the Public Prosecution, and through the account in the union,” stressing that “that The account includes all doctors, even if his name is big, and the account begins with varying degrees of punishment, from censure to permanent removal from the union and suspension from work.”

He explained that “in the event of real medical negligence, and that the treating doctor is not a specialist, and that the hospital is not qualified, the laws hold the doctor accountable in public law or in the Doctors Syndicate,” noting that the Syndicate had already submitted the Medical Liability Law to the House of Representatives 5 years ago, and this law is in force. in many Arab countries.
