When a small plane crashed on the airfield in Renneritz in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, three people were killed on Sunday, according to police reports.

Another person was seriously injured.

The dead are the pilot and two passengers, as a local police spokesman said.

The injured person came to a hospital by rescue helicopter.

According to the police, the Federal Aviation Office is on the way to the site of the accident and is taking over the investigation.

The airfield belongs to a glider club.
