Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reunited on a Discovery Channel show to mark a special shark week.
The two
Sharknado
stars
were invited to face their fear by getting as close as possible to their worst enemies onscreen.
To do this, they boarded a boat with a glass hull, in shark infested waters, all with baits hanging over their heads!
“They threw baitfish over our heads just to prove sharks weren't going to jump out of the water.
You know, at first I was a little hesitant to do it but Tara and I had a great time, ”Ian Ziering told Entertainment Tonight.
Sharks don't fly
Proof that it is very unlikely that a shark will come out of the water to take off with a tornado as happens in
Sharknado
, which Ian Ziering readily admitted.
“It's not likely to happen.
Sharks don't jump out of the water to feed in a storm or tornado.
They stay away from the surface, ”he added.
Released by Syfy in 2013, the first
Sharknado
quickly became a cult nanar, opening the door to a series of five additional films.
In the past, the actor had said he accepted the role to keep his health insurance, never thinking that he would end up playing in a successful television franchise.
“Yeah, I didn't want to do it.
But I had to for my family.
And now, six movies later, the glory will live on forever!
He jokes today.
