After the crash of a small airplane in the Böblingen district in Baden-Württemberg, the police have confirmed the deaths of three people.
The identities of the victims are still unclear, said a police spokesman on Saturday afternoon.
The recovery of the bodies has not yet been completed.
The fire brigade and rescue service were on duty with many helpers in the afternoon, and the densely wooded crash site near Steinenbronn was cordoned off over a large area.
According to the police, the small aircraft of the type "Piper" took off on Saturday morning at Stuttgart Airport.
The cause of the crash was initially unclear, the investigation continued in the afternoon.
The flight recorder could be recovered according to the information.
An expert from the Federal Office for Aircraft Accident Investigations was also at the crash site, it said.
