Rain and flow of valleys in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and calls for caution

Some areas in the Sultanate of Oman are experiencing rainfall of varying intensity, which has led to the flow of valleys and reefs

The General Directorate of Operations at the Royal Oman Police recorded a number of incidents as a result of the torrential rains that swept through Omani cities and streets, including the detention of some people inside their vehicles and in the valleys.

The National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards in Oman revealed the impact of a groove from an air depression from the Arabian Sea on the Sultanate's airspace, and that it will continue for several days.

The center explained that the heavy rains are concentrated in the governorates of: North Al Batinah, Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar, Al Wusta, and on the Al Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas.

The Royal Oman Police called on everyone to exercise the utmost caution and not to risk crossing valleys and water bodies.
