Provincial government established Zhuhai Shijingshan Tunnel "7·15" accident investigation team

Nanfang Daily (Reporter/Huang Xuhao) In the early morning of July 15, a flood accident occurred at the 1.16km location of the Shijingshan Tunnel construction section of the Zhuhai Xingye Express (south section) project, resulting in 14 construction workers being trapped.
In accordance with the State Council’s "Regulations on Reporting, Investigation and Handling of Production Safety Accidents" (Order No. 493), in order to investigate and deal with the accident, the provincial government established the investigation team for the "7·15" flooding accident of Shijingshan Tunnel in Zhuhai City, with the provincial leader acting as the investigation team. Team leader, members are composed of relevant responsible comrades from the Provincial Public Security Department, the Department of Justice, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department, the Transportation Department, the Emergency Management Department, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, and the Zhuhai Municipal Government.
The investigation team consists of three working groups: a technical team, a management team, and a comprehensive team.
In order to strengthen technical support for accident investigation, the technical team hired 9 experts in related fields.
On July 16, the provincial government investigation team held a meeting in Zhuhai City to clarify the responsibilities, tasks and related requirements of the accident investigation.
The investigation team will conduct a comprehensive and scientific judgment and demonstration of the accident’s history and causes based on the principles of “scientific rigor, law and regulations, seeking truth from facts, and focusing on actual results”, ascertain the responsibilities of the accident, and put forward suggestions for handling in accordance with laws and regulations. Summarize the lessons of the accident, propose preventive and corrective measures, and submit the accident investigation report in accordance with the procedures.
