A man in his 50s in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, was filed on suspicion of violating the Aviation Law for flying a small unmanned aerial vehicle "drone" while drinking alcohol.

According to police, it is the first time that a drone has been arrested in Aichi Prefecture since the revised Aviation Law, which prohibits flying drones while drinking alcohol, came into force.

The document was sent to a 56-year-old unemployed man living in Toyota City, who, according to police, flew a drone weighing about 540 grams over a residential area in Toyota City on the 12th of last month while drinking alcohol. There is a suspicion of violating the Aviation Law.



According to the investigation so far, after drinking 8 bottles of 350 ml canned beer between 7 am and noon, when I started cleaning the room, I happened to find a drone I bought a few years ago and checked the operation. It means that I skipped without doing.



The drone crashed and collided with a window in a house, and police were investigating after receiving a report from a resident.



In response to the investigation, the man admitted the suspicion and stated that he wanted to fly for the first time in a long time.
