Today is World Youth Skills Day. Do you know how difficult it is to "one skill"?

A thin glass single-marked pipette is gently twisted at your fingertips, and the water column is slowly rinsed upward from the tip of the tube, and it needs to be repeated 3 times, and then carefully blow off the water droplets on the inner wall of the thin tube, and gently wipe it. Dry the outer wall, and then complete the cleaning.

This is just a small part of the water quality analysis module of the water treatment technology project of the World Skills Competition, but there are many particulars. Every step of the operation will affect the results of the water treatment, and there is no room for sloppy.

Today is World Youth Skills Day.

At the Yangpu District Skills Achievement Exhibition, the 46th World Skills Competition Water Treatment Technology Project China Training Base, located in the Yangpu District International Innovation and Innovation Talent Base, was opened to the public for the first time.

The water treatment technology project should examine the ability of the contestants to manage and monitor urban or industrial water supply and wastewater treatment systems, including the determination of calcium in water samples, the operation and maintenance of pumping stations, wastewater treatment technology and other modules, involving chemistry, engineering, and electrical appliances. Knowledge of different disciplines such as, machinery, etc.

Jiao Heming, the gold medal winner of the water treatment technology project in the first National Vocational Skills Competition and a doctor of municipal engineering major of Tongji University, led young visitors to open a close "demystification".

It turns out that cleaning the sampling test tube is just a small skill. The real water treatment front line has not only a laboratory but also a "basement". The technicians not only have to deal with beakers, test tubes, and instruments, but also with pumping stations, water pipes, and screws.

Just like the concept of "one skill, able to move the world", this game not only tests the players' rigorous scientific spirit, hard-working ability and hard-working spirit.

Everyone sighed that it was this way of training to participate in the World Skills Competition. Professional water treatment work requires so much hardship. There are so many "doorways" for a skill. Mastering and mastering a skill requires ingenuity and polishing.

At the event site, there was also a skill fair for experience items such as rubbing, seal cutting, quilling paper, tea art, flower arrangement, coffee latte, and a skill exhibition showing the training process of Yangpu skilled talents from the 1920s to the present. Many young people stopped to experience and visit.

Huang Baomei, a representative of New China textile workers and winner of the "July 1st Medal", also came to the exhibition site to encourage the 46th World Skills Competition national training team players present, motivate them to become talents with skills and win glory for the country.
