China Earthquake Networks determined that at 23:36 on July 14, 2021, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan (30.97 degrees north latitude, 103.37 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 15 kilometers.

  The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 kilometers away from Dujiangyan City, 48 kilometers away from Chongzhou City, and 76 kilometers away from Chengdu City.

Within 20 kilometers of the epicenter are Sanjiang Town, Xuankou Town, Gengda Town, Yingxiu Town and Wolong Town.

The magnitude 4.8 earthquake is located in the southern section of the Wenchuan aftershock area, which is an ups and down activity in the Wenchuan aftershock area.

  After the earthquake, the China Earthquake Early Warning Network produced earthquake early warning information 5 seconds after the earthquake, and Chengdu City received the early warning information 19 seconds before the earthquake wave arrived.

Sichuan Aba Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment dispatched a full-time team of Shuimo Township with 10 people in 1 vehicle to the epicenter to check the disaster.

At the same time, the Aba Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment Earthquake Rescue Team with 8 vehicles and 60 people and the Chengdu Fire Rescue Detachment with 9 vehicles and 60 people quickly prepared for assembly.

  It is reported that there were obvious tremors in parts of Chengdu, Deyang, Leshan and other places of the earthquake, and there were no reports of disasters and casualties for the time being.
