From June 26 to July 5, 2021, the Barkhane Force led an operation to secure national road 16 (RN16), in the N'Daki region, in the Malian Gourma.

This first important operation for the new desert tactical group Tigre made it possible to comb this region of Gourma, south of the RN16.

Supported and informed by reconnaissance and attack helicopters, the units engaged on the ground have collected intelligence in wooded wadis, refuges of the Terrorist Armed Groups, where they hide their camps and their resources.

The French soldiers carried out actions of harassment and control of the corridors of mobility of the Jihadists in the region of N'Daki.
