The Chiba District Court has sentenced 18 years in prison to a defendant charged with murder for murdering a man who had a large amount of life insurance in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, by plunging him into the sea with his adoptive fathers. I handed down the judgment.

Defendant Yusuke Sanaka (33), a carver in Yotsukaido City, Chiba Prefecture, told Takuya Shishikura (23 at the time) in Wakaba Ward, Chiba City, who had a large amount of life insurance at the port of Futtsu City in January. He has been accused of murder for murdering him by plunging him into the sea with his adoptive fathers.

In previous lay judge trials, the prosecution has sentenced him to 20 years in prison, while the defendant claimed that he was "not actively involved in the murder."

In a ruling on the 12th, Judge Masahiro Tomoshige of the Chiba District Court said, "Although the defendant himself had no purpose to obtain insurance money, he wanted to maintain a good relationship with his adoptive father who was the mastermind, so he became a perpetrator. I'm making a name for myself. "

He then sentenced him to 18 years in prison, saying that he was a sneaky and ruthless crime that played an essential role in the murder and disregarded human life.
