Jodie Turner-Smith was the victim of jewelry theft in Cannes

Actress Jodie Turner-Smith had some very precious jewelry stolen last weekend, according to

The publication claims the star was having breakfast at the Marriott hotel on Friday when burglars entered her room and stole jewelry worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Worse: the star would also have had an object stolen that is priceless, since it is his mother's wedding ring.

The star, mother of a one-year-old girl, who is with her on the Croisette, was therefore transferred from the Marriott to the Majestic, while the police are investigating this theft.

No sign of tampering was found in the room, which opens with a magnetic card.

In the wrong place at the wrong time

According to the post, Jodie Turner-Smith could have been targeted after appearing at the

premiere the night before

with overpriced Gucci jewelry.

The thieves were apparently misinformed since, as is customary in such circumstances, the jewelry is returned immediately after being worn for the photos, screening and press conference.

This Sunday, the star, who was to leave Cannes during the day, made a subtle reference to this undoubtedly traumatic event, posting on Twitter: “I didn't think I was going to spend two and a half hours at the police station to my last day in Cannes, but here we are ”.

Cannes police did not comment on the case, but Jodie Turner-Smith's agents confirmed that the actress had indeed spent several hours in front of the police to give all the details of this theft.
