Hong Kong's world-famous action star Jackie Chan (Chenglong, Jackie Chan) has expressed her desire to become a member of the Chinese Communist Party.

According to the Chinese media observer network on the 12th, Jackie Chan attended a symposium held in Beijing on the 8th and poured out praise for the Communist Party.

Jackie Chan said, "The Communist Party is really great. What the Party promises will surely come true in a few decades without even going to 100 years. I also want to become a Party member."

The symposium held today was a place to learn Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party. Jackie Chan made these remarks while attending as vice-chairman of the China Film Artists Association.

Although Jackie Chan was born in Hong Kong, he is a representative pro-Chinese actor, calling himself the 'Guardian of the Five Stars Hongki (Chinese flag)'. He also expressed his support for the Hong Kong National Security Law, which punishes anti-Chinese people in Hong Kong by extradition to China.

The Global Times in China interpreted Jackie Chan's desire to become a member of the Communist Party as "it shows that Hong Kong's elites have changed their minds about the Chinese Communist Party."

However, Chinese netizens reacted negatively to Jackie Chan's private life as an issue. Users of Chinese social media Weibo criticized Jackie Chan for having a daughter out of wedlock and not paying child support. He also pointed out the problem of his son's drug use and predicted that it would be difficult for him to join the party, saying, "Not everyone can become a party member."
