According to the latest edition of the OECD and FAO Agricultural Outlook 2021-2030, sub-Saharan Africa has the lowest available quantities per capita of agricultural products relating to fruits and vegetables.

This publication also indicates that in sub-Saharan Africa, 36% of funding for agriculture comes from donors and 25% of this funding goes to infrastructure (roads, irrigation systems, and others ...), while the lack of Financing is one of the major obstacles preventing the development of a farming business.
