[Explanation] On July 10, the "Hong Kong Patriotism Education Summit Forum" co-sponsored by the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, Hong Kong Takung Wenhui Media Group, and Bauhinia Magazine was held in Hong Kong.

This is the first large-scale summit forum with the theme of "patriotism education" since the return of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Carrie Lam, Chinese Vice Minister of Education Tian Xuejun, and Deputy Director of the Central Government Liaison Office in Hong Kong Tan Tieniu attended and delivered speeches.

In her speech, Carrie Lam used her personal growth experience to explain that learning Chinese history and Chinese culture is the basis for establishing patriotism.

　　When we were learning about Chinese festivals when we were young, we all knew that the Dragon Boat Festival was to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. When we read Yue Fei's "Man Jiang Hong", we were all moved by the impassionedness of this poem and Yue Fei's patriotic feelings.

Will remember Yue Fei's mother stabbing her son with the four words of "Jing, loyalty and serving the country".

When we visit the Yuanmingyuan Relics Park, we are all angry at the invasion and occupation of China by the foreign powers.

When we listened to our elders about the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong for three years and eight months, we all lamented that while the war brought suffering, it would certainly inspire patriotism.

　　[Explanation] In his speech, Tian Xuejun raised expectations for Hong Kong's patriotism education. He hoped that the SAR government would further increase investment, enrich resources, continue to improve relevant education laws and policies, and achieve "patriots governing Hong Kong" and "patriots governing education".

Increasingly enrich the forms and channels of patriotism education in Hong Kong, better face the society, focus on young people, and integrate patriotism education into education and teaching practice.
