According to the website of the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, the European Parliament flagrantly passed a resolution on Hong Kong in error on July 8. "The EU has taken specific actions and even sanctions against China. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong strongly condemned it, expressing strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition.
The spokesperson pointed out that under the protection of the National Security Law, Hong Kong society has returned to stability, the rule of law and justice can be upheld, and the extensive rights and freedoms enjoyed by Hong Kong residents in accordance with the law are better protected in a more stable, safe, and rule of law environment.
Under the conspiracy of some anti-China members, the European Parliament has deliberately arbitrarily overturned black and white, brutally trampled on the rule of law and judicial independence in the SAR, and confused the right and wrong of individual media and their responsible persons to engage in suspected illegal and criminal activities with the freedom of the press and force them to oppose China by any means. The forces of chaos in Hong Kong backed up and cheered up, condescendingly accused China, and bluntly claimed to impose sanctions on China, fully exposing the deep-rooted ideological prejudice of these politicians, the extremely hypocritical double standards, and the self-defeating ability of these politicians to confuse time and space.
The spokesperson emphasized that for some time, some politicians in the European Parliament have repeatedly taken confrontational actions on issues involving China’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, such as Hong Kong, for their own self-interest. The rush to perform grandstanding political performances has aroused strong indignation and firm opposition from all Chinese people, including Hong Kong compatriots.
The Chinese people will never accept the preaching of this group of "teacher masters", and will never allow them to arbitrarily intervene in Hong Kong affairs that are China's internal affairs, and will never sit back and watch the country's sovereignty, security and dignity suffer.
We strongly urge some anti-China members of the European Parliament to fully and accurately understand "One Country, Two Systems", to recognize the general trend, to reflect on themselves, to abide by the basic norms of international law and international relations, to stop undermining the rule of law and judicial independence in the SAR, stop slandering and distorting the "one country, two systems", and stop acting against it. The Chinese chaotic Hong Kong elements supported and encouraged them to stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs in any form.
