Rospotrebnadzor recommendations

Against the background of record-breaking hot weather, Rospotrebnadzor recalled that swimming in fountains is dangerous to health.

The department published a material on the relevant topic, which says that the use of fountains "for other purposes, including for the purpose of swimming in hot weather, is unsafe for the human body."

It is noted that the water in the fountains is not disinfected, and high temperatures are favorable for the reproduction of microorganisms.

Taking this into account, after swimming in the fountain, a person can not only catch a cold, but also get, for example, an intestinal infection or conjunctivitis.
