Facebook is building its own city in America

Facebook plans to build its own city next to its headquarters in Silicon Valley, California, USA.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", the new city will be called "Willow Park", and it will be built on a 59-acre site within the city of Menlo Park in California.

"Facebook" indicated that the city will include 1,729 apartments, including about 320 housing units at low prices and up to 120 units designated for housing for the elderly.

These apartments are specifically targeted at Facebook employees, in order to keep them within walking distance of the company's headquarters, but they are not exclusive to them.

The new city will also include a supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants and a 193-room hotel.

Moreover, the city is expected to contain two parks, one of which has an area of four acres, and the other two acres.

The company will allocate 1.25 million square feet in the city to build a meeting room, conference room and offices for its employees.

The new office space is supposed to accommodate about 3,400 employees.
