Over a million people clocked in Tiananmen Square in four days
The landscape display to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the party was extended to July 31

The Tiananmen Square landscape of the Centennial Celebration Ceremony of the Founding of the Party was opened to the public on July 2nd.
In four days from the 2nd to the 5th, 1,184,600 people from all over the country came to Tiananmen Square to check in and relive the exciting moments of the celebration.
After the victory of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on July 1, Tiananmen Square still retains the reign of the Communist Party of China, flag arrays on both sides of the square, large screens, flowers and green landscapes on both sides of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, and the north side of Zhengyangmen Gate Tower Flower green space landscape, flower green space landscape around the party emblem, and "wave pattern" flower green space landscape on both sides of the square.
Among them, the reign of the party emblem, which is located directly north of the Monument to the People's Heroes and "supported" by three rainbow bridges, shines in the sun and has become a popular check-in spot.
On July 2nd, on the first day of Tiananmen landscape opening to the outside world, a family of three teachers from Beijing 35th Middle School Zhitong made a special trip to Tiananmen Square.
"On July 1st, I watched the celebration meeting live at school, and I was very excited. When the national flag guards walked neatly from the Monument to the People’s Heroes to the flag pole, I saw the party emblem shining behind them. I immediately thought of bringing my son to the scene to leave a memorial." Zhi Tong said.
Zhitong's son was born during the National Day holiday last year and is almost 9 months old.
Zhi Tong also made a wish in his heart: "When the second centenary goal is achieved in 2049, let my son take me to Tiananmen Square to take another commemorative photo."
Among the crowd, Zong Zhishun stood upright, leaving pictures in front of the golden party emblem and year.
Wearing a white shirt, the "50 Years of Glory in the Party" commemorative badge on his chest is particularly conspicuous.
Zong Zhishun is a peer of the Republic and an old party member with 52 years of party standing.
"We grew up under the leadership of the party." Zong Zhishun said, "On the day of the celebration, my wife and I watched the whole process in front of the TV. We are really proud and proud of the great party."
Many people also came to the capital Beijing from other places to relive the passionate moments of the party's centuries.
The first stop of Mr. Xu’s family of three who came to Beijing with luggage was Tiananmen Square. “This is the party’s big day. As a party member, I must come to experience it on the spot.” Mr. Hou from Jiangsu has been checking in Tiananmen Square for three consecutive days. “The power of the motherland and the power of the Communist Party of China make us feel very happy and proud.” Li Ju from Shandong took a 6-year-old granddaughter, both of them specially dressed in red shirts, and took photos with the party emblem and the year.
The enthusiasm of people from all walks of life to visit and tour is unabated.
On July 2nd, 212,000 citizens and tourists entered the square to visit; the weekend ushered in the peak period of visits. The number of visitors on the 3rd and 4th was 396,500 and 404,100 respectively. Although it was a working day yesterday, it was rainy and still 17.2 Thousands of people visited the square.
It is reported that in order to meet the needs of the people to visit, the Tiananmen Square landscape reservation time will be extended from July 15 to July 31, open every morning from the flag-raising period, and end after the flag is lowered in the evening.
