In the sharing session of the film’s creative team, Huang Jianxin, producer and director of the film "1921", said that he had been to Xibaipo 12 years ago and learned a lot about the history of this revolutionary sacred place.

Co-director Zheng Dasheng once again explained the clever connection between the film and Xibaipo to the audience. He pointed out that the letter from Mao Zedong to Li Da in November 1948 was sent from Xibaipo.
In the movie, Mao Zedong and Li Da blessed the new company that was about to open, directly echoing this red allusion of Xibaipo.
