The self-proclaimed Arab Republic of Western Sahara (SADR) and Morocco have been fighting over this territory bordered by the Atlantic for 45 years.

The reception a few weeks ago by Spain of Brahim Ghali, leader of the independence movement Polisario, had caused a diplomatic crisis and an influx of migrants to the Iberian enclaves.

And the peace process with Morocco is still at a standstill.

Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the SADR, is the guest of RFI.
