In Shizuoka Prefecture, where debris flow has occurred, the risk of sediment-related disasters continues to be extremely high, and strict caution is required.

On the 5th, there is a risk of heavy rain mainly on the Sea of Japan side due to the influence of the front, so be careful of sediment-related disasters, inundation of low land, and flooding of rivers.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, due to the influence of the Baiu front, the rainfall from the beginning of the rain on the 30th of last month in Shizuoka Prefecture and the southern part of the Kanto region has become a record heavy rainfall exceeding the rainfall for the normal July 1 month.

In Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where a debris flow occurred, the risk of sediment-related disasters continues to be extremely high, and sediment-related disaster warning information has been released.

According to a survey by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, it has been confirmed that sediment that is in danger of collapsing remains on the slope of the mountain where the debris flow occurred.

In the future, even a small amount of rain may cause a disaster again, so be very careful about sediment-related disasters, and if you are in a dangerous place such as a cliff, a mountain slope, or near a river, please spend it in a safe place.

The Sea of Japan side is also wary of heavy rain

In addition, due to the warm and moist air flowing toward the front and the low pressure system in the Sea of Japan, locally active rain clouds are occurring in the Hokuriku and Chugoku regions.

Heavy rain may occur in western Japan before noon and in eastern Japan on the night of the 5th, mainly on the Sea of Japan side, accompanied by lightning.

Also, in Nagasaki Prefecture, there is a risk of extremely heavy rain of 50 mm or more per hour locally for the next few hours.

The amount of rainfall in the 24 hours until the morning of the 6th is expected to be 120 mm in northern Kyushu, 100 mm in Hokuriku and Tokai, and the Chugoku region.

After that, it will be raining intermittently, and it is expected that it will rain another 50 to 100 mm in the Hokuriku, Kinki, and Chugoku regions in the 24 hours until the morning of the 7th.

The Japan Meteorological Agency calls for caution against sediment-related disasters, low land inundation, and river flooding.

As the rain may suddenly increase, please pay attention to the evacuation information and the latest weather information issued by the local government, and try to evacuate early and ensure safety.
