China News Service, Guilin, July 4 (Liu Jianshe and Ou Huilan) Following the flood discharge of the Qingshitan, Xiaorongjiang, and Axekou reservoirs on the upper reaches of the Lijiang River in Guilin, Guangxi on July 2, the Chuanjiang Reservoir also started at 18:00 on the 3rd. Flood discharge is performed at a flow rate of 100 cubic meters per second.

At this point, the number of flood discharge reservoirs in the upper reaches of the Lijiang River has increased to 4.

At 6 o'clock in the morning on July 3, the largest flood of the Lijiang River this year passed through the urban area of Guilin smoothly. The peak water level was 145.71 meters, 0.29 meters away from the warning water level, and the corresponding flow was 2090 cubic meters per second, which is a common flood.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the floods on the Lijiang River began to fall slowly.

It is understood that after the flood discharge of the three large reservoirs at Qingshitan, Xiaorongjiang, and Fuzikou in the upper reaches of the Lijiang River on July 2, heavy rain fell again in the Lijiang reservoirs.

In the past 24 hours, the average rainfall on the Qingshitan Reservoir was 27.5 mm, the average rainfall on the Xiaorongjiang Reservoir was 71.0 mm, the average rainfall on the Fuzikou Reservoir was 76.2 mm, and the average rainfall on the Chuanjiang Reservoir was 62.5 mm.

Rainfall in the upper reaches of the Lijiang Reservoir Group has made it difficult to expand the capacity of the reservoir and lower the water level.

At present, the water levels of the Qingshitan, Xiaorongjiang, and Fuzikou reservoirs have all begun to fall after reaching their highest point, but still exceed the flood limit operation level of the reservoir; the water level of the Chuanjiang Reservoir also continues to rise. As of 17:00 on the 3rd, the water level It has reached 271.89 meters, 0.11 meters away from the flood limit water level.

In order to ensure the safety of flood control of the reservoir, the Guilin Reservoir Dispatch Expert Group has discussed and decided to reduce the flood discharge flow of Qingshitan Reservoir from 800 cubic meters per second to 500 cubic meters per second, and increase the flood discharge of the Chuanjiang Reservoir.
