The Abu Dhabi Cultural and Heritage Festivals and Programs Committee is preparing to launch the competitions of the seventeenth session of the Liwa Date Festival in Liwa City, Al Dhafra Region, on Thursday, 15th of this month, and will last for 10 days, with a total prize pool of more than eight million dirhams, as the activities of the current session are limited to prizes. Issa Saif Al Mazrouei, Vice-Chairman of the Cultural and Heritage Programs and Festivals Management Committee in Abu Dhabi, said that this year, the Liwa Date Festival will be limited to date fairs, fruit bids and competitions accompanying the festival.
