In this context, Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the exhibition and Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers Club, stressed the importance of the purebred Arabian horses and their racing, and the keenness to continue and develop this heritage sport of which the UAE is proud, and succeeded in establishing its global footprint in the field of development, noting that The Abu Dhabi exhibition has become an annual renewed opportunity to celebrate the leadership of the Emirates in the field of equestrianism.

Hundreds of years ago, the people of the Emirates were known for their interest in horses as one of the most prominent elements of association with Arab values, and over the ages this interest has developed to be linked to national identity and authenticity of belonging through knowledge of ancient breeds that extend in their lineage to Arab origins.

The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, was interested in acquiring the best breeds of purebred Arabian horses, and the first of them was all care, and based on his extensive experience and knowledge, he believed that it was a cause for good, optimism and serenity of soul.

He - may God have mercy on him - encouraged the establishment of horse races in the UAE and other countries of the world, and stipulated that the participant in those races must present a certificate proving the Arabness and authenticity of the horse he is participating in, in order to preserve the purity of the origins of the Arabian horses.

To this day, French horse owners still owe thanks to Sheikh Zayed for the entry of purebred Arabian horses into the French tracks since 1994, specifically from the city of Chantilly, and from there they moved to the tracks of all of Europe.
