The craftsmanship of Huangkeng oil-paper umbrellas in Suichuan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province has a long history.

Hu Haihua, the 25th generation inheritor, is now 53 years old. In 1977, he started to learn oil-paper umbrella making with his father.

Its production skills have now been included in the list of intangible cultural heritage protection in Ji'an City.

From selecting materials to finished products, it has to go through 79 pure manual processes such as cutting bamboo, sawing barrels, cutting umbrella ribs, making umbrella handles, tying umbrella stands, mounting paper, brushing tung oil, drying umbrellas, drawing, wrapping handles, and threading inner threads. It took a few days, and it took a few days.

Hu Haihua also combined the oil-paper umbrella with the story of party history, portraying "a single spark can start a prairie fire", "the spirit of the red boat" and the "Three Bays" on the oil-paper umbrella, spreading the story of party history and traditional culture at home and abroad.
