Ibaraki Prefecture announced on the 2nd that it was confirmed that 23 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
On the other hand, one of the infected people announced on the 1st was withdrawn, and the total number of confirmed infections in the prefecture was 15,93.
The prefecture also announced that three of the confirmed infections by the 2nd had been infected with a virus with the "L452R" mutation confirmed in India.
