The exhibition centered on themes such as the centenary of the founding of the party, the establishment of a well-off society in an all-round way, and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 26 original stage art works of red and realistic themes were selected from the whole city of Guangzhou. The combination of offline theater performances and nationwide tours has launched more than 100 performances.
This activity is not only an innovative form of integrating art into party history education, but also a concentrated display of the outstanding achievements of stage art creation in Guangzhou.

The first performance was the large-scale ballet "Flag" with a red theme. As the opening ceremony of the "2021 Guangzhou Art Season", it made its debut in Yangcheng during the centenary of the founding of the party.
The play was produced by the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism. It was created by the Guangzhou Ballet Company. It is based on the youthful and tragic sacrifices of the revolutionary martyrs in the Guangzhou Uprising. It vividly reproduces the greatness of the Chinese Communists who illuminate their original heart with their faith. history.
"Banner" is based on the 1927 Guangzhou Uprising, integrating revolutionary realism and revolutionary romanticism, expressing the hot revolutionary feelings in the language of ballet dance, giving new artistic imagination to history, and conveying the yearning for the future.
The internalization of family affection, friendship, and love into the selfless, fearless, and heroic spirit and strength of the country, nation and people is a manifestation of the beauty of faith, the beauty of nobility and the beauty of human nature of the revolutionary martyrs.
"Flag" is also the repertoire of the opening ceremony of the "2021 Guangzhou Art Season".

In order to avoid the theme-first and high-level thinking style, the main creative team of "The Banner" adopted a narrative method of interlaced time and space and a realistic expression method, focusing on the characters' personalities and ideological connotations, and creating heroes with heart and affection. The dance drama "Wake the Lion", the acrobatic drama "Hua·Butterfly", and the drama "Exhale and Inhale" were invited to participate in the Shanghai Arts Festival; "Red China Cantonese Rhyme Flying" Guangdong Music Evening, Cantonese Opera and other boutique plays will also go to Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai Theaters in Xi'an, Yan'an and other places carried out national tours.
