The prosecutor's office sentenced him to two years and ten months in prison in a trial of a former U.S. Army Special Forces member charged with helping former Nissan Motor Chairman Carlos Ghosn escape.

At the end of the trial, the former member apologized for "lost a lot" and completed all trials.

In December, two parents and children, including former U.S. military special forces "Green Berets" defendant Michael Taylor (60), hid former chairman Ghosn in a case and put him on a private jet to help him escape to Lebanon. As a result, he is accused of concealing the criminal.

The prosecution told Michael in a statement, "I put the former chairman in a large box and easily overcame the biggest obstacle to leaving the country. The escape of the former chairman has deprived me of the opportunity to reveal the truth in court." He was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months in prison and 2 years and 6 months in prison for his son, Peter.

On the other hand, the defense said, "The escape was led by the former chairman and pulled in and used the two. They regret having made the wrong decision," and asked for a suspended sentence.

Finally, Michael apologized in tears, "I've lost a lot. I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

The verdict will be handed down on the 19th of this month.
