The little panda Jang from the Duisburg Zoo has still disappeared.
So far, however, no indications have been received that the bear is outside the facility, said a police spokesman on Friday morning.
The red panda has been searched for on the site since Thursday morning.
How he could leave the enclosure was initially unclear.
The zoo assumes that Jang is in one of the numerous treetops on the zoo grounds.
If the animal should be spotted outside the facility, the zoo asks you to inform the police immediately.
However, passers-by should not try to catch the animal.
