A few months of respite for scholarship students.

The government has announced that the financial aid intended to support young graduates formerly holders of a scholarship and looking for a first job will be extended until the end of December.

Set up in February as part of the “1 young person, 1 solution” plan, this assistance was to end on June 30.

A decree published in the Official Journal recorded its extension.

It allows "young graduates in 2020 or 2021, registered with Pôle emploi, who received a grant based on social criteria during their last year of studies, to benefit from assistance equivalent to 70% of the net amount of their grant on a period of four months, ”recalls the Ministry of Labor in a press release.

"Live their job search more calmly"

Young people must be under 30 and have a minimum of 2 years of higher education.

Additional flat-rate assistance of 100 euros is paid when the young person lives in his own home.

Quoted in the press release, the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne, estimates that with this “safety net”, “tens of thousands of young graduates will be able to benefit from it to live their job search more serenely”.

It "invites all those who could be concerned to make a request to Pôle emploi".
