An American threatens to blow up McDonald's because of the sauce

An American man was so upset about not eating sauce with the chicken nuggets he ordered from McDonald's that he sent a fake threat to blow up the branch he ordered from with a bomb, according to the British newspaper The Independent.

Police said the customer, Robert Gollwitzer Jr., after discovering that his sauce was missing from his order, called the restaurant and threatened the staff.

Among those alleged threats, the man threatened to beat the employee, but also went on to threaten to blow up the restaurant.

And all for the sake of a small saucepan.

McDonald's reported the bomb threat to authorities, and police arrested Gollwitzer Jr. in Iowa on Saturday, June 29.

The 42-year-old was accused of making a "false threat to place explosive or incendiary devices", which is a criminal offense in the country.

Gollwitzer Jr. stayed in prison overnight and was released on bail the next day.
