After the bad surprise for the TV channels of obtaining the broadcasting rights for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 of the French football championship by Amazon, the arrival of another streaming actor could continue to make people cringe traditional broadcasters such as the Canal + group.

Bad news never comes alone.

This is the sentiment among the TV channels that traditionally broadcast football.

But not necessarily among viewers.

After the Amazon surprise, a new actor is making his debut on the distribution of football in France: Dazone.

This streaming platform, often presented as the Netflix of sports, has signed a global agreement to broadcast matches of the Women's Champions League.

A contract that runs until 2025.

Association with YouTube

Dazone has in fact acquired the broadcasting rights for the next four seasons of the women's competition, thanks to a global agreement signed with UEFA.

This type of contract is a first in the history of the Union of European Football Associations.

The Dazone streaming platform still suffers from a great lack of notoriety, particularly in France.

To develop knowledge of its brand and the exposure of the competition, the platform has therefore joined forces with YouTube.

The video hosting site will stream the next two seasons of the Women's Champions League for free.
