Going to a restaurant, going to the Opera or going to work in person may soon be subject to a health pass in Nice.

This is in any case what the mayor, Christian Estrosi, said in

Nice-Matin

, worried about the rise in the incidence rate, the number of positive cases for Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants, in the metropolis.

According to him, "it is out of the question that those who are not vaccinated come to sow clusters".

In this way, he told the local daily that he had "initiated, with several hundred mayors, a discussion with the government so [they can] decide at the local level on a health pass".

Thus, he wants to "protect the activity, the economy and the population".

Encourage vaccination

Its objective is to encourage vaccination, "for want of being able to make it compulsory as it would like", to reach 80% of the vaccinated population by the end of the summer and to "start to acquire a certain immunity ”.

By the end of the week, 63% of metropolitan residents will have received their two doses of vaccine.

To facilitate the conditions of registration for the vaccine platform, all those who study, work or even come on vacation in Nice, will be able to benefit from the vaccine, affirmed Christian Estrosi in

.

The vaccination center at the exhibition center will be open without an appointment from July 7.
