Players leave more than school students

The Emirates Football Association, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, launched the football strategy 2038, through which the Federation seeks to compete by applying the best international standards administratively and technically for the coming period, in line with the aspirations of the Emirati sports street, and the path that leads our national teams to the podiums.

The goals were set, including a sustainable mechanism to qualify for the 2034 World Cup, a sustainable mechanism for reaching the Round of 16 in the 2038 World Cup, and winning the Asian Men's Cup for the year 2031.

One of the most important points is the privatization of the UAE League, by opening the way for the private sector to own clubs that are owned, and the strategy focuses on national teams, the future of players and participation, and the development of the professional system.

We value the efforts and initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid in developing a sustainable strategy to achieve achievements for the Emirates football, and from this standpoint, we hope the Professional Association, the Sports Councils and the Club Administrations sit at one table with officials in the Football Association, to discuss how to cooperate in order to implement the strategy, vision and objectives of the Federation, in Establishing a mechanism and a basic system for professional football, controlling professional players in clubs, and ways to develop academies, as they are the ones that establish and prepare players for national teams.

The secret of the gap between East and West in the Asian continent is the academies, and how they are managed technically and administratively, and Japan is a unique experience in Asia in terms of interest in the formation of players.

Japan has set a good model for itself to improve the game, and has now become one of the most powerful Asian countries, as well as at the international level, after it has developed a long-term plan to advance the game.

What is required of us is to establish a basic system for professional football in the Emirates, and from it professional players devote themselves to playing football on a full-time basis in clubs, and his profession is a professional football player, without having a job other than football, as well as setting up a system and a mechanism For the vacations of professional players in their clubs, so that the vacation of a professional player does not exceed three weeks only, after the end of the football season, for the interest of Emirates football, similar to the professional players in Europe whose season ended after our football season in the Emirates, and they started the preparation stage for players who do not participate In Euro 2020, to compete in local and continental competitions.

On the other hand, our players are still on a long vacation for nearly two months since the end of the last round, which was on May 11, and it is expected that the meeting date for the clubs for the next season will be on July 11, is this reasonable?!

Is this in the interest of the development of UAE football, while the Football Association is building a strategy to reach the 2034 World Cup and the 16th round in the 2038 World Cup, and win the 2031 Asian Cup for Men, and professional players in clubs have more vacations than school students!

On the other hand, we spend millions of dirhams on professional players, without controls governing their professionalism.
