Died director Alexander Voropaev 

This is stated in a message on the website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

“At the age of 81, our friend and colleague, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, director of feature and documentary films Voropaev Alexander Alekseevich, passed away,” the organization said.

Voropaev directed such films as "On the Edge of the Abyss", "A Place in the Sun", "The Best Road of Our Life" and others.

Earlier, the actress Nina Konovalova, who served at the Mossovet Theater for more than 50 years, died.
