Early in the morning of the 29th, one house was burnt down in Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.

According to police, a woman in her 80s and two daughters in her 50s live in the house, and both have been out of contact after the fire, so police are investigating the situation in detail.

Around 5:30 am on the 29th, a man in the neighborhood reported to the fire department that smoke was coming from the house of Mr. Suzuyo Hayashida (87) of Kashino, Ushimado-cho, Setouchi City.



Approximately 10 fire engines came out and the fire was extinguished about 3 hours later, but one wooden double-decker house was completely burned down, and two people were found dead near the first floor of the burnt remains.



According to the police, there are three people living in this house, Mr. Hayashida, the eldest daughter of 56 years old, and the second daughter of 54 years old, and none of them can be contacted after the fire.



Police are rushing to confirm their identities, assuming that two of the three people in the house have died, and are investigating the details of the scene.



The site is a residential area by the sea near Ushimado Olive Garden, which is known as a tourist destination.
