The provincial headquarters of the Asian elephant safety precautions for the northward movement of Yunnan reported that from 17:00 on June 27 to 17:00 on June 28, the elephant herd moved 4.6 kilometers to the southeast and continued to move in the woodland near Tadian Town, Eshan County.
The lone elephant is located in the northeast of the elephant group, 52 kilometers away from the elephant group. It is active in the woodland near Beicheng Street, Hongta District, Yuxi City.
All 15 elephants are within the monitoring range, and the human elephants are safe.
Elephants continue to walk through the forest. With thundershowers and foggy weather, drone monitoring and ground tracking are difficult.
Duxiang entered Hongta District with relatively dense personnel, continuous rainfall, and difficulty in deployment and monitoring.
