Stolen Picasso's Female Head Found in Athens

 Greek police have found a painting "Female Head", by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, which had been stolen more than nine years ago from the National Gallery, in Athens.


It was reported that a 49-year-old man was the thief who stole the painting, Greek media reported on Monday evening.


A Picasso painting, along with another damaged work, by Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, was found in a warehouse about 50 kilometers from Athens.


The Ministry of Culture in Athens confirmed this discovery.


The value of the painting is estimated at 16.5 million euros ($19.7 million).
