Invited Monday of the program "Culture Médias", the journalist Anne-Sophie Lapix solves the mystery on the new political meeting of France 2, mentioned last March in an interview with "JDD" by Laurent Guimier, the director of the information from France Télévisions.

INTERVIEW

Still at the head of the 20h of France 2 at the start of the school year, Anne-Sophie Lapix presents Monday in

Culture Médias

the device of France 2 to cover the parade of July 14.

The journalist specifies especially at the microphone of Philippe Vandel the contours of the new political meeting that the chain will launch in September, with a view to the campaign for the presidential election of 2022. Last March, the director of information of France Televisions Laurent Guimier had announced it without saying more.

"The idea is not to cut the newspaper regularly"

"I can tell you that this meeting will be part of the continuity of the newspaper. It will be called '8:22 p.m.', or 8:22 p.m. for 2022," reveals Anne-Sophie Lapix.

"This is Laurent Guimier's find."

The journalist adds that

8:22 pm

will be "mainly based on interviews, but not only."

8:22 p.m.

will start in September, but not on a daily basis.

"For the rhythm, we will adapt to the rhythm of political life", specifies Anne-Sophie Lapix.

"At the beginning, it could be twice a month. And at the end of the campaign, indeed, it can accelerate. But the idea is not to slash the newspaper regularly."

"I'm not looking for the clash"

This new political program aims to capture the young public, who prefer it on the

"I cannot give you all the details, but the subjects will be presented in an original and attractive way for young people," confirms the journalist.

Anne-Sophie Lapix guarantees that

8:22 pm

will not give in "political politics", nor in the politics of spectacle.

"There will be no tweet on the air. I'm not looking for the clash," she promises.

"But we're looking for explanations, anyway. We're not going to do a soothing interview either."
