In order to support child-rearing households who are having difficulty living due to the effects of the new coronavirus, an initiative was made in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture, to exchange rice for children when they bring a picture drawn by them.

This is an initiative that Mito City painter Fumio Tadashi has been working on in Ibaraki Prefecture since last year in cooperation with the Council of Social Welfare, and this time it was held outside the prefecture for the first time.

On the 27th, about 40 households of the child-rearing generation living in Fukaya City who applied in advance visited Fukaya City Hall with pictures drawn by the children of each household.

When I handed the picture to Mr. Tadashi, he received about 4 kg of rice, alpha rice, and kanpan.

The pictures brought by the children were immediately exhibited at the venue, and the visitors were watching them.

A woman in her thirties who received the rice said, "I am very grateful that the shifts have decreased due to the corona disaster and I am having a hard time. I want to take good care of what I receive with my children."

Fumio Tada said, "I am very happy to see the wonderful paintings and encourage adults. I would like to continue this effort in the future."
