Hassan Youssef: I did not retire from art.. and this is what Hosni Mubarak told me in his prison

The Egyptian artist, Hassan Youssef, said that he paid a heavy price for visiting former President Hosni Mubarak in his prison cell in the hospital before his departure, and stressed in his interview with Al-Majalla that he does not regret this visit nor the artworks presented by him and his wife, the retired artist Shams Al-Baroudi.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the rumors about her return to art, denying his announcement of retirement, and added that the poor treatment of production companies with him and their lack of appreciation for his history behind his long absence from television drama.

Youssef said, "I have not announced my retirement, and there is no truth to this rumor, and I am still waiting for a good role and a return that matches my history.

And when my wages are appropriate to my destiny, “I work at length and change the Quraish cheese, and the dry bread is sweet and strong with tomatoes and cucumbers and strong satisfaction, meaning no one sleeps without dinner”!!

About his wife, the Mu'tazila artist, Shams Al-Baroudi, Youssef said, “She is the queen of my life and the most beautiful of women, and this is the true love that extends and strengthens with time. Ingredients and this is the secret of the continuation of our life and its success.

Youssef revealed that during his meeting with the late President Hosni Mubarak, he asked him: Why did you not travel outside Egypt?

I told him that there are many countries ready to receive you to live in them as head of state, and he replied, “I served my country and fought for it and defended it and I can never leave it and I will continue to live in it until the last day of my life.”
