On June 26th, the 2021 Guangxi Tea Processing Workers (Handmade Green Tea) Vocational Skills Competition was held in Liucheng County, Guangxi. 40 "tea masters" from all over Guangxi competed on the same stage and jointly demonstrated their hand-made tea skills.
In the actual operation competition, as long as the players' skills such as finishing, rolling and drying are examined, finally they are scored through operation performance and sensory evaluation.
Guangxi has a long history of planting tea and has obvious characteristics of rich selenium resources. It is one of the main tea producing areas in China.
A mature tea roaster needs years of training, but in recent years there are fewer and fewer young people willing to engage in tea roasting and processing.
By holding tea processing skills competitions at the autonomous region, city, and county levels, it is possible to discover "tea craftsmen", accelerate the training of tea industry workers, and provide talent guarantee for the development of the tea industry.
