[Explanation] The Labrador in front of me is named "Black Bean", and he is a drug detector dog at the Yulin Border Checkpoint of the Border Management Detachment of Jilin Tonghua. "Daily training and weekly duty" is its current "on-duty" routine.

Recently, reporters walked into the police force to get a closer look at how "black beans" were "made".

The 3-year-old "Black Bean" is the most favorite "partner" of the police. With its simple appearance, it is absolutely unambiguous at work.

[Explanation] The reporter learned that "Black Bean" has to carry out rigorous physical fitness and drug search training every day, which lasts a few hours.

The trainer said that every qualified police dog is an elite canine.

The first is collective training, which involves the selection of puppies. From a litter of puppies, a few are selected individually, or sometimes none of them are selected.

(Training) A qualified police dog, this police dog can only be trained as a junior police dog.

It must have boldness, loyalty, ferocity, a keen sense of smell, a keen sense of reaction and thinking, and a strong physique.

Those who don't have these must be eliminated.

[Commentary] Along with "Black Bean", there are the explosion-proof dog "Black Snake" and the guard dog "Heini".

[Explanation] The 27-year-old policeman Zhang Zhiyin is an assistant trainer for "Heini". Due to training needs, he often plays the role of "bad guy".

During the training process, he would put on his arms and bite sleeves to mobilize the dog's emotions to achieve the training effect.

Because the police dog has to be tuned before the bite, to arouse their fierceness, and then we have another bite training.

You can’t always use the biting sleeves. If the biting sleeves have been bitten for a long time, they will not be willing to bite, so we have to carry out a phased training, such as removing the biting sleeves and replacing them with inner sleeves.

Yes, (training tools) will get thinner and thinner.

Although the protective gear is not broken, it is very painful to bite.

[Explanation] It is understood that since the beginning of this year, the Yulin Border Checkpoint has dispatched more than 600 police dogs to participate in the duty.

According to the police dog trainer, a police dog will go through many examinations in his life, and each time is related to their destiny.

They have retraining once a year, and there will be an assessment after the retraining. If they fail this assessment, they will face elimination.

In their entire lives, they were actually eliminated and could only leave the team as pet dogs.
