Practically and realistically, the term “domestic workers” is not considered accurate, or rather it is not correct, and it is more appropriate and correct to adopt the name that defines them at the level of “assisting groups”, and the reason is that there are many and very large differences between employment or workers, and between help groups or “servants”. , They are two different groups that do not resemble each other, as the auxiliary groups are part of the family inside the house, they live with it, eat its food, and coexist with its members, young and old, and their relationship inside the house differs greatly from the relationship of the worker with the owner of the company!
Clarifying this difference has social and legal consequences, of course. These two categories can never be equalized in the laws in force in the Emirates, as this leads to the collision of many legal obstacles and social difficulties. The problems of these groups, the pressures on families increased, the prices of bringing these groups increased, and the matter was mixed between obtaining their rights, losing the rights of families, and most importantly, the “responsibility” by government agencies was lost, and the matter was dispersed among several parties, each of which relinquishes its responsibility, and receives it On other parties, and the first and last victim of all of this, is the citizen and resident who paid a lot of money to obtain a necessary home service, then found himself lost and looking for his most basic rights, which is to get his money back in the event that they did not want to work, or they left the house without a convincing reason!
Their number is not small, and their presence has not become a luxury as some believe, in many homes, and there is no difference here between a citizen and a resident, the presence of help groups is necessary, especially in light of the increasing burdens, and parents going out to work, but they have become a cornerstone of the existence of the house. Most people have, and they are aware of this, and today they are aware and aware that there is no control or right of the head of the family towards them. The laws are with them, the embassies are with them, and most government agencies are on their side, so the decision to leave and leave the house has become a decision in their hands, and no one has Returning them to him, and consequently the “black market” became active for them, their wages increased, and the workers under the darkness increased to lure them and incite them to flee!
There may be logical reasons, which made the subordination of this category go to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, but now, after going through the experience for years, there are also many reasons that make us demand a reconsideration of that, and we have to study all the reasons, and make comparisons between the previous situation and the current situation, And only then will we know which of the two situations is better, while not ignoring the opinions of dealers, citizens and residents, who are the most appropriate to evaluate these two stages!
