The first round of regional and departmental elections delivered its verdict last night (June 20, 2021) with some surprises.

The main, and perhaps the most worrying, if we are to believe the reactions, is the level of abstention.

Two-thirds of registered voters did not come.

It's almost unheard of.

Publicity

There are also notable results.

Bonus for those leaving traditional parties, difficulties for the presidential majority and the National Rally.

Regional and departmental elections, what lessons and what perspectives?
