Some 53 vintage cars occupy nearly 2,000 square meters of space in the garage of Saudi Nasser Al-Masari, a project he says took years.

The beginning was in 1984 during a classic car race in the Italian city of Florence, and here Al-Masari decided for the first time that he "will own an old car one day", and over the nearly 40 years that have elapsed, he collected vehicles, some of which date back to the time of the Great Depression.

Al-Masari describes it as his "retirement project", and dreams of increasing his rare collection to the point of becoming a museum that attracts visitors from within his country and tourists from abroad.

One of his most expensive possessions is a 1929 Cadillac, which he says may be the world's only remaining one of its kind.

“I am really proud to own this car, and I spent a lot of time and effort to bring it to Saudi Arabia, and to Riyadh in particular,” he said.

I was told that this car, and this is what I trust after my research, is the only one in the world.. for several reasons as you know and the main reason is that it is an expensive car made at the time of the Great Depression or just before it.”
